Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and 56 Global Ltd ("56", "we", "us", "our") and cover your use of the 56 service. By creating an account or using 56, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Please read these together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information.
About 56
56 Global Ltd is a company registered in the United Kingdom (company number 17168434), with its registered address at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.
56 lets you create and send invoices, and send and receive payments. We provide these services by working with regulated partners who handle payment processing, currency conversion, identity checks, and paying money out to your local bank or e-wallet.
Who can use 56
To use 56 you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be able to enter into a legally binding agreement
- Provide accurate information and complete our identity verification
- Use 56 for lawful purposes only
We may refuse, suspend, or close an account if we are unable to verify your identity, if we are required to by law, or if we believe the account is being used improperly.
Identity verification
Before you can use 56 to move money, we are required by law to verify your identity. You agree to provide accurate identity information and documents, and you understand that we and our partners will check them. We may ask for more information at any time to meet our legal obligations.
Payments and invoices
56 lets you create invoices and receive payments from your clients, and withdraw funds to your bank account or e-wallet.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the invoices you create and the payment details you enter.
- Payments and withdrawals are processed by our partners and may take time to complete.
- Minimum amounts, fees, and processing times will be shown to you in the app before you confirm a transaction.
- We are not a party to the agreement between you and your clients. 56 is a tool for invoicing and payment, not a party to your underlying work or contracts.
- If you enter incorrect payment details, a payment may fail or be delayed, and funds may be returned. Please check details carefully before confirming.
How your balance is held
Your 56 balance is held as USDC, a stablecoin designed to hold the value of one US dollar, in custody with licensed partners. We show your balance to you in US dollars. Your US dollar, euro and pound account details are receiving accounts: money that lands through them is converted and joins your balance rather than being held in those currencies.
A balance held as USDC is not a bank deposit. It is not covered by PDIC, FDIC, FSCS or any other deposit-insurance scheme, and its value depends on the stablecoin's issuer holding sufficient reserves. If the issuer or a custody partner fails, or if USDC stops holding its one-to-one value against the US dollar, your balance could lose value or become temporarily or permanently unavailable. By using 56 you accept this risk, which is passed through to you.
Fees
We charge fees for certain transactions. Any fee that applies will be shown to you clearly before you confirm a transaction. We may change our fees, and we will let you know of important changes.
Features that are not yet available
Some features described on our website or marketing materials, including any credit or card features, are not currently available and are planned for the future. These Terms cover the payment and invoicing service that is available now. When new features launch, we may update these Terms and ask you to agree to the updated version.
Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- Keep your login details secure and not share your account
- Give us accurate and up-to-date information
- Not use 56 for any illegal activity, fraud, or money laundering
- Not attempt to interfere with, damage, or gain unauthorised access to the service
If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, contact us immediately at hello@get56.io.
Suspending or closing accounts
We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we reasonably believe there is a risk of fraud or other harm. You may close your account at any time by contacting us, subject to completing any pending transactions and to our legal record-keeping obligations.
Service availability
We work to keep 56 available and working, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, pause, or stop parts of the service, and we will give notice where reasonable.
Our liability
56 is provided "as is". To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for losses that we could not reasonably have foreseen, for losses not caused by us, or for business losses. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited. Some transactions are handled by our partners, and their own terms may also apply to those parts of the service.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make important changes, we will let you know and, where needed, ask you to agree again. The "last updated" date at the top shows when they were last changed.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Nothing in these Terms removes any legal protections you have under the laws of the country where you live, including the Philippines.
